ISK-SODEX 2025, Eurasia's largest HVAC&R fair, will be held at the Istanbul Fair Center between October 22-25, 2025, with the aim of contributing to the export vision of the air conditioning industry, increasing international cooperation, and further advancing the sector's global competitiveness. With its 2025 theme set as “Life Cycle,” ISK-SODEX will address critical topics for the future, such as sustainability, automation, digital transformation, and eco-friendly production, while offering industry professionals access to new markets, export opportunities, and technology collaborations. After a challenging 2024, the HVAC sector, which is shifting its focus back to growth in the second half of 2025 with expectations of economic normalization on a global and local scale, will focus on increasing export figures with ISK-SODEX.
Sustainable export target
The Turkish HVAC sector, which closed 2024 with export figures of $7.14 billion, maintained its competitiveness despite the challenges, while struggling with factors such as exchange rates remaining below inflation, increases in raw material and energy costs, and adaptation to regulations in Europe. Noting that ISK-SODEX has an important role to play in the future of the sector, Mehmet Hakkı Şanal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Air Conditioning Industry Exporters Association (İSİB), said, "The ISK-SODEX Fair is an important gateway to the world for Turkish HVAC sector exporters. Participating companies have the opportunity to both showcase their products and open up to global markets at the fair. At this point, we are planning over 1,000 B2B meetings by bringing more than 300 qualified buyers from over 60 countries to our country before the 2025 fair, and this impact will be further strengthened with the fair. ISK-SODEX is not just an area where products are exhibited; it is a platform for strategic export initiatives and business partnerships. This year's theme, ‘Life Cycle’, is extremely valuable in terms of drawing attention to sustainability in the sector's transformation journey," he said. Sharing the sector's 2025 targets, Şanal said, "According to export figures for the January-December 2024 period, we achieved $7.14 billion in exports as the air conditioning industry. In the first seven months of 2025, we achieved a 5.4% growth rate. Our sector will continue to focus on exports for 2025 while also continuing its R&D and sustainability-focused investments. We aim to increase our export share, particularly in the European, North African, and Asian markets. As ISIB, we will continue our sectoral training and workshops in line with our Sustainability Action Plan, which focuses on digitalization and automation."
The most important platform shedding light on the future of the sector
ISK-SODEX Fair Director Toros Utku, emphasizing the growing international impact of ISK-SODEX each year and this year's theme, said, "ISK-SODEX has a structure that addresses not only the current needs of the HVAC sector but also its future. With this year's theme, ‘Life Cycle,’ we are bringing concepts such as sustainability, circular economy, and eco-friendly production to the fair's agenda. From B2B meetings to sectoral conferences, from digital solutions to new product launches, our fair will be a platform for transformation." Noting that the fair plays an important role in exporters' strategic planning, Utku said, “ISK-SODEX is one of the strongest fairs in the sector internationally. In 2025, we aim to contribute to both increasing the competitiveness of the HVAC industry, one of Turkey's strongest sectors, in Europe and opening up alternative markets.”
