Production Started in ODE's Factory, Established with Investment of 200 Million TL
Largest insulation company of Türkiye with 100% domestic capital, ODE Insulation, made an investment of 200 million TL and established an ODE R-Flex branded elastomeric rubber foam thermal insulation facility in Eskişehir. ODE Insulation Executive Board Member Ozan Turan said that with this investment, they increased their capacity in the product fourfold to 18 thousand tons per year, and announced that they have become the largest manufacturer of technical insulation in the geography between China and Germany. With the new facility, 150 people will be employed.
ODE Insulation, one of the leading companies in the insulation sector in Türkiye and in more than 75 countries in the six continents it exports to, has made an investment of 200 million liras and established an elastomeric rubber foam thermal insulation facility in Eskişehir. The company, which has produced its ODE R-Flex branded product in its factory in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ until now, will continue production in both cities from now on.
Ozan Turan: “We have reached twice the market size in Türkiye”
Providing information about the investment, ODE Insulation Executive Board Member Ozan Turan said, “With our new facility, which we have established in the ODE Production Campus in Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone, on a closed area of 20 thousand square meters, our elastomeric rubber foam thermal insulation product capacity has increased fourfold, reaching a total of 18 thousand tons per year. we took it out. With this investment, we will reach twice the capacity of the Turkish elastomeric rubber foam market and further reinforce our leadership in this product group in our country since 1991. While we will strengthen our leading position in some of the countries we export to with our high-end products that we will produce in this facility, we will also become the market leader in some countries. In addition, we have achieved an important success not only for our company but also for our industry and our country, and we have become the largest manufacturer in technical insulation in the geography between China and Germany.” Turan also stated that they will employ 150 more people with the new facility.
“Despite the pandemic conditions, we did not give up on investment”
Explaining the investment stage, Turan said; “We have been working on this product at full capacity for the past few years. Therefore, we planned a new facility investment. When we started the feasibility studies, there was no Covid-19 pandemic yet. Then the pandemic started, but despite this, we did not postpone our plan. In this process, despite the breaks in the supply chain and the increase in costs, we have implemented this facility, which will provide more added value to our country. Thus, we are one step closer to our goal of becoming a global brand born from these lands.”
“We will meet 60 percent of our electricity needs from the sun”
Emphasizing that the Eskişehir investment is an exemplary facility with its high efficiency and environmentally friendly technology as well as its capacity size, Turan said, “We are covering the entire roof of our new facility with 5,300 solar panels (photovoltaic). With this system, which will have an installed power of 2,400 kWp, we will meet 60 percent of our electricity needs from the sun. We plan to commission the system by the end of this year. However, within the scope of our commitment to be carbon neutral until 2050, we will continue our renewable energy investments both in Eskişehir and Çorlu.”
