ODE Insulation Signs Innovative Works at Innovation Center

ODE Insulation, which considers the needs and demands of the countries in which it operates while developing products and allocates 3 percent of its turnover to R&D and digitalization, today exports to 75 countries on 6 continents. Stating that they have to meet different demands and needs in order to become a global player, Ozan Turan, Member of the Board of Directors of ODE Insulation, says that they carry out innovative works in the Greentech R&D company they established with this approach.

ODE Insulation, Turkey's largest insulation company with 100 percent domestic capital, continues to work on insulation systems that will facilitate the work of designers and practitioners, increase the speed of application and eliminate application errors. ODE Insulation has an innovation center called Greentech R&D in order to meet different demands and needs.

Ozan Turan, Member of the Board of Directors of ODE Insulation, stated that creating products with higher heat, sound, water and fire insulation performance is their priority and added, “While developing products, we take into consideration the needs and demands in the countries where we operate. We allocate 3 percent of our turnover to R&D and digitalization. As ODE Insulation, we export to 75 countries in 6 continents and each market has different needs. For example, a product used in the Turkish market may not be in demand in the Australian market. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new product for the Australian market. To become a global player, you have to meet different demands and needs. With this approach, we established an innovation center called Greentech R&D, where we carry out innovative studies.”

“We focus on production technologies that reduce carbon emissions in production”

Stating that they focus on sustainability in production and new production technologies that reduce carbon emissions, Ozan Turan said, “The insulation sector in which we operate is of critical importance in this period when one of the world's priority agendas is energy. Because insulation is one of the leading steps to be taken both for the realization of the energy efficiency mobilization we always advocate and for reducing the carbon footprint.

With this approach, we focus on Energy Efficiency, Responsible Production and Consumption, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. We have also set goals for ourselves within the framework of our Green World Goal and Zero Carbon Mission. In this context, we carry out various activities ranging from protecting ecological diversity to reducing energy consumption, from using recycled materials to informing our stakeholders about environmental management and energy efficiency.  Starting from the source of raw materials, we try to meet the care required by nature in all our production processes and focus on nature-based solutions to remove carbon emissions from the atmosphere.”

“Digitalization projects are among our priorities”

Underlining that digitalization projects are among the priorities of this period, Ozan Turan said, “As we move to automation in production with digitalization, we are also developing MES projects. We will launch our renewed dealer portal shortly. We started to use robots in planning and reporting, and we continue our efforts to further digitalize the processes from order to shipment.”
