İzocam Strengthens Its Sustainability Leadership with Second Report

As the first company in Türkiye’s insulation industry to publish a sustainability report, İzocam has further reinforced its pioneering position with its second Sustainability Report. The report transparently presents the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, progress achieved and targets for the coming period.

İzocam, the founder and leading brand of Türkiye’s insulation industry, has once again demonstrated its pioneering approach to sustainability with the publication of its second Sustainability Report. Prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, the report provides a transparent overview of the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, progress toward its sustainability goals and roadmap for the coming years.

Stating that sustainability at İzocam is no longer a separate project but a management approach embedded across all business processes, İzocam General Director Kerem Kürklü said:

“From production and R&D to the supply chain, human resources, product development and digital transformation, we manage all our processes through a sustainability perspective. As the first company in Türkiye’s insulation industry to publish a sustainability report, our second report is not merely a reporting exercise; it is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to sustainability, transparency and continuous improvement.”

2025 Marked Significant Progress in Sustainability

İzocam’s second Sustainability Report highlights initiatives implemented in 2025 in line with the company’s sustainable growth objectives.

Continuing its investments to improve operational efficiency, İzocam has transformed its Kayseri facility into one of its exemplary centres for sustainable production through improvements to manufacturing processes. Initiatives aimed at increasing production efficiency, strengthening occupational health and safety infrastructure in accordance with international standards, and supporting quality-driven transformation were among the key developments.

The expansion of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) practices across its products, together with digital transformation projects and investments in employee development, are also among the report’s key areas of focus.

İzocam’s sustainability approach extends beyond manufacturing processes to its products, employee initiatives and social impact projects. The company supports people-focused transformation through initiatives including the HYPE (Next Generation Program), leadership academies and wellbeing programs.

İzocam also contributes to the sustainable transformation of the industry through its support for initiatives such as İZODER’s energy efficiency seminars, the İMSAD Industry Meeting and the Energy Efficiency Forum.

As part of its social responsibility activities, the company continues its sponsorship of the İzocam Sailing Team. To mark its 60th anniversary, İzocam also launched the “İzocam 60th Anniversary Memorial Forest” project through the TEMA Foundation with the voluntary support of its dealers. The initiative extends the company’s sustainability approach beyond its manufacturing activities, reflecting its vision of creating value for nature and future generations.

İzocam Continues to Work Toward Net Zero by 2050

Kerem Kürklü said İzocam’s sustainability strategy is built around three main priorities: reducing carbon emissions, lowering water consumption and expanding circular economy practices.

“We aim to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, reduce our water consumption by 50% by 2030 and eliminate non-recyclable waste. In line with these goals, we continuously improve our production processes, increase energy efficiency, expand the use of renewable energy and integrate circular economy principles throughout our operations. We also view our investments in digitalisation and artificial intelligence not only as technologies that improve operational efficiency, but as important transformation tools that help reduce our environmental impact,” Kürklü said.

Emphasising that İzocam regards sustainability not merely as a vision for the future but as a measurable and accountable management approach that creates value through concrete actions taken every day, Kürklü concluded:

“By placing sustainability at the heart of all our activities, we address environmental responsibility, economic value creation, energy efficiency, contribution to our country’s energy independence and social benefit together. Through our innovative products, efficient production approach, strong human resources and long-term collaborations with our stakeholders, we will continue with determination to contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy and add value to safer, more efficient and more sustainable buildings of the future.”
