ISK-SODEX gathered the Global HVAC-R Industry Under One Roof

ISK-SODEX which connects the climatization industry from all over the world biennially, has come to an end. Nearly 1,000 exhibiting brands from 19 countries attended ISK-SODEX, where environmentally friendly, energy-recovery and high-efficiency sustainable products were showcased across 120,000-square-metre area at Istanbul Expo Center. ISK-SODEX hosted a total of 89,694 visitors, 15% of whom were from abroad.

ISK-SODEX, showcasing the sectors of Heating, Refrigeration, Ventilation, Insulation and Installation contributed greatly to the development of the HVAC-R industry. A total of 89,694 trade visitors visited the exhibition and the trade fair hosted nearly 1,000 exhibiting brands from 19 countries. ISK-SODEX 2023 was held for the 16th time this year and contributed to the development of the sector by laying the groundwork for new collaborations between manufacturers and buyers for 4 days.

Energy efficient technologies were exhibited

ISK-SODEX, which makes significant contributions to Türkiye's export volume and sheds light on the future of the HVAC-R industry by reaching more industry leaders every two years, presented low-cost, environmentally friendly and energy efficient rooftop air conditioners with precise control for data centers. Hygienic heating and refrigaretion systems along with air conditioners, control panels and sensors, ventilation systems and heat pumps were showcased. In its 2023 edition, ISK-SODEX guided the HVAC-R companies, which transfer a significant portion of their turnover to R&D activities every year, on innovation and sustainability issues in line with developing technologies and user demands. Today, HVAC-R industry is trying to find solutions to the demands of businesses, residences and institutions for both economical and hygienic heating and refrigeration systems. Those companies showcased the systems that offer maximum efficiency by optimizing energy consumption in buildings, the devices they produce to reduce CO2 emissions of buildings, and the ventilation units that quickly discharge smoke and heat.

Attracted trade visitors from 114 countries

ISK-SODEX 2023 strengthened its international identity with the exhibiting countries such as Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, China, Egypt, England, Germany, Italy, India, Japan, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and USA. At the same time trade visitors from 114 countries, including the countries that attract the most visitors such as Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Italy, Kosovo, Morocco, Romania, Tunisia and Uzbekistan, has visited the exhibition. Within the scope of the Buyer Delegation Program, organized by the HVAC-R Industry Exporters Association (İSİB), 300 VIP buyers from 69 countries participated in face-to-face meetings at ISK-SODEX and signed new commercial collaborations worth millions of euros.

Competitions shed light on the future of the industry

This year, ISK-SODEX offered both masters working in the industry and future master candidates the opportunity to showcase their skills through competitions. At ISK-SODEX Arena, with the equipment provided by sponsors, 8 masters demonstrated their skills by installing combi boilers and radiators in the Masters League within the parameters of timing, correct installation, project suitability and aesthetic evaluation criteria. In the Masters of the Future competition, vocational high school students performed air conditioner installation. Total of 30 thousand TL award were presented to the masters who ranked in the Masters League after evaluations of 5 jury members, including officials of the sponsor companies and experts in their fields. In the Masters of the Future contest, as a result of the evaluations of the jury members, medals and gift certificates were presented to the teams that ranked 1st and 2nd, and air conditioners and plaques were presented to their schools.

The next edition of ISK-SODEX which brings the global HVAC-R industry together every two years, will be held at Istanbul Expo Center from 22-25 October 2025.
