İmbat's Precision Controlled Air Conditioners Preferred at TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Data Center

TÜBİTAK National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBIM) preferred İmbat for the air conditioning solutions of the ULAKBIM Data Center Direct Liquid Cooled (DSS) Server Room, which features the most advanced liquid cooling technology in the world.

This center, which attracts attention with its high-performance processing power and powerful data storage infrastructure, was designed to safely meet the intensive computing load and to create a stable working environment in critical conditions that require precise control. It houses 504 servers and an ARF supercomputer with a core capacity of 56,000. At the service of industry, the public and universities, ARF provides services to researchers and research projects in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, molecular biology, material sciences, as well as priority areas such as climate change, earthquake research, bioinformatics. With its wide service network, the Center is used extensively by all sectors.

The ARF supercomputer at the Center ranks 356th in the Top500 list of the world's most powerful computers, while the second phase of the ARF supercomputer, the GPU-assisted computing cluster ARF ACC, ranks 229th. ARF ACC has achieved a significant success by ranking 26th in the Green500 list, which focuses on energy efficiency.

İmbat was the air conditioning choice for this critical project. Three In-Room, cold water (CRAH) Imbat Precision Controlled Air Conditioners with a total cooling capacity of 190 kW are used in the air conditioning of the data center. The devices, which provide the desired temperature and relative humidity with narrow tolerances, maintain the critical balance in this sensitive environment with İmbat's solutions and software that prioritize energy saving.

İmbat's precision-controlled air conditioners are equipped to meet the high performance demands at TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Data Center. Each of these units reaches an air flow rate of 19,000 m³/h with EC fan technology, providing highly efficient cooling. In addition, Modbus IP integration enables remote monitoring and control, enabling the devices to be monitored instantly and intervened when necessary. The double-walled galvanized sheet metal body of the devices and 70 kg/m³ rock wool insulation offer high-level advantages in both heat and sound insulation.

Thanks to İmbat's microprocessor control system, the temperature and humidity balance of the data center is precisely managed. While instant data can be easily monitored via a graphical display, room conditions are kept at ideal levels throughout the year thanks to additional equipment such as humidifiers and electric heaters. In this way, the data center can continue to operate under optimum conditions in all seasons and meet its critical air conditioning needs.
