Gerhman will ensure the quality of air conditioning in the historic Afrika Han building, which is being converted into a Moxy Hotel.

Afrika Han, situated on Istiklal Street in Beyoglu, is listed as one of Istanbul's protected archaeological and historically significant buildings. It underwent renovation to transform into a Moxy Hotel, a lifestyle brand under the renowned Marriott International hotel chain. For this project, Gerhman's fire dampers and mechanical CAV units were chosen.

Built in 1905 by German architect Agust Jasmund for Ragıp Pasha, one of the chamberlains of Abdülhamid II, and his family, the building features an arcade that connects Büyük Parmakkapı and Küçük Parmakkapı Streets, four blocks, and a plus-shaped courtyard. Following a detailed restoration, the 10-story historic building was converted into a hotel with 168 rooms, 336 beds, and a 100-seat restaurant.

Gerhman CAV HP Mechanical Constant Flow Dampers, to be used in the initial Moxy hotel in Turkey, maintain consistent air volumes in the ventilation ducts, regardless of static pressure variations. This ensures that the desired ventilation conditions are consistently met.
