Embraco Launches Controller for the Aftermarket at AHR Expo Mexico
The Nidec brand also reinforces at the event its scroll compressor portfolio for refrigeration, heating and air conditioning
Embraco, a Nidec Global Appliance (GA) brand and global supplier of refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning solutions, will unveil its Embraco Sync controller for the aftermarket at AHR Expo Mexico 2026, held from September 29 to October 1. At booth #1528, the brand will also showcase its full range of solutions for the entire HVAC&R sector.
The Embraco Sync - QuickSet is designed to replace multiple controller models with a single, universal solution for field technicians. It comes preconfigured with six presets that cover applications ranging from beverage coolers and open display cases to walk-in freezers and supermarket freezer islands, including also reach-in refrigerators and freezers. Other features include universal voltage, screw connection terminals, flexible defrost cycles, and market standard dimensions, rounding out a design built to simplify stock and reduce installation time for aftermarket professionals, adding value along the entire chain.
"The new controller was designed for the aftermarket segment and comes preconfigured to simplify the daily work of contractors, field technicians, distributors, and stores, combining Embraco’s reliability with the innovation that keeps us always one step ahead," says Michel Moreira, Nidec GA Business Director for Commercial Appliances in North America.
A complete portfolio for refrigeration, heating and air conditioning
Embraco’s booth at AHR Mexico will also present its full range of solutions for commercial and residential refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning. One highlight is the Embraco Scroll compressor portfolio, which spans 1.2 HP to 35 HP and supports multiple refrigerants, including R410A, R404A, and low-GWP options like A2L (R454B, R32) and R290. The lineup caters to a wide variety of applications, such as cold rooms, Air-to-water heat pumps, chillers, rooftop packaged units, and central ducted home air conditioning systems.
Other lines in display include:
● EMR compressors for replacement: a compact, robust, easy-to-install solution designed to be the standard replacement for multiple fixed-speed models, simplifying stock and making refrigeration technicians' lives easier.
● NJ compressor: A family of high cooling-capacity, fixed-speed compressors for food retail applications. The latest generation, NJX, reaches up to 2 HP using a single-piston design, delivering high energy efficiency and low noise.
● VLT compressor: An ultra compact variable-speed compressor for commercial refrigerators and freezers,. It is a universal voltage solution, allowing OEMs to utilize the same part number anywhere in the world, optimizing their inventory, logistics, on top of delivering high energy efficiency, low noise, and cooling performance equivalent to larger-size fixed and legacy variable-speed compressors.
● Evaporative drain pan condensing units (CDUs): A lineup of CDUs with an evaporative drain pan, for foodservice reach-in and under-counter refrigerators and freezers. Starting at 26,4 centimeters high, it is among the most compact on the market. The main feature of this lineup is a proven drain pan with a hot loop designed to eliminate common draining issues and speed up the evaporation of defrost water. Equipped with highly energy-efficient Embraco fixed- and variable-speed compressors, the new lineup offers a vast array of options using the natural refrigerant R290.
Strategic local manufacturing
Embraco’s condensing unit portfolio for North America is manufactured in Mexico, providing a significant strategic and logistical advantage for customers in the region. "Being close to our customers is part of how Embraco operates. With local manufacturing in North America, we can respond more quickly and reduce lead times for the distributors, contractors, and technicians who count on us every day," concludes Moreira.
