Countdown Begins for TTMD’s 17th International HVAC+R Technology Symposium

The countdown has begun for the 17th International HVAC+R Technology Symposium, organized by the Turkish Society of HVAC and Sanitary Engineers (TTMD). Set to take place in Istanbul in 2026, the event is preparing to bring together all stakeholders of the industry under this year’s main theme, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in HVAC Applications.”

Supported by national and international organizations, the symposium will offer a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and professional interaction by bringing together academics, engineers, manufacturers, and technology developers. The event is expected to highlight the latest developments in the HVAC+R field and encourage collaboration across the sector.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the symposium will be its strong international speaker lineup. Featured speakers will include Prof. Dr. Cheol-Soo Park from Seoul National University, Pawel Wargocki from the Technical University of Denmark, Volkan Doda of Atelier Ten and recipient of the 2025 CIBSE Engineer of the Year award, Ioan Silviu Doboși, President of the Romanian Association of Building Services Engineers (AIIR), Prof. Dr. Halime Paksoy from Çukurova University, and Livio Mazzarella from Politecnico di Milano. This distinguished group will share insights and expertise on a wide range of topics, from AI-powered HVAC applications to energy efficiency and sustainable building technologies.

Artificial intelligence has become one of the most important driving forces behind transformation in the HVAC+R sector. Solutions that optimize system performance, reduce energy consumption, and enable smarter building management are opening the door to a new era in the industry, alongside digital twin applications, intelligent control systems, and data-driven design approaches. In this context, the symposium will go beyond being a platform focused solely on current technologies and will also provide valuable foresight into the future of building systems.

While the pre-registration process for the symposium is still ongoing, it has been announced that the final application deadline is May 1st, 2026. Participation in the event is free of charge. However, due to the limited capacity of the meeting hall, interested participants are required to submit the pre-registration form by the specified date.

TTMD invites all industry stakeholders to closely follow this important event and secure their place in the symposium without missing the registration deadline. For those who want to witness firsthand the transformation shaped by artificial intelligence in the HVAC+R field, the event offers a significant opportunity.
