BIG 5 Construct Türkiye to Take Place in Istanbul on 15–17 September 2027

BIG 5, one of the leading global exhibition brands for the construction industry, is coming to Türkiye. BIG 5 Construct Türkiye, the first Türkiye edition of the BIG 5 brand developed by dmg events over more than 45 years, will take place at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) from 15 to 17 September 2027.

Originating in Dubai and expanding over the years into markets including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Qatar and South Africa, BIG 5 will now bring its international network to Türkiye through a collaboration between dmg events and Expotim. The exhibition aims to connect international construction suppliers with contractors, developers, industry professionals and public-sector representatives in Türkiye.

BIG 5’s Global Network Expands to Türkiye

dmg events Executive Vice President (EVP) Ben Greenish stated that the launch of BIG 5 Construct Türkiye represents the next chapter in the brand’s growth story spanning more than 45 years.

According to information shared by the organisers, Türkiye stands out as an important market in BIG 5’s international growth strategy due to its strategic location at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, its strong manufacturing capacity and its well-established construction industry.

With a population of approximately 88 million and an economy projected to reach USD 1.64 trillion in 2026, Türkiye continues to attract regional and international investors. According to the figures provided, the Turkish construction market reached a value of EUR 61 billion in 2024.

Driven by public investment, urban transformation and post-earthquake reconstruction, the sector is expected to continue expanding in the coming years. Projections shared for BIG 5 Construct Türkiye indicate that the market could grow by approximately 7% annually and exceed EUR 70 billion by 2027.

Turkish Contractors Maintain a Strong International Position

Türkiye’s strong presence in the international contracting sector is another key factor behind bringing BIG 5 Construct to Istanbul.

According to data shared by the organisers based on Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2026 “Top 250 International Contractors” ranking, 48 Turkish companies are included on the list. This places Türkiye second globally after China in terms of the number of companies represented. Turkish contractors are also reported to have undertaken international projects worth USD 24.9 billion in 2025.

This position makes Türkiye significant for BIG 5’s global supplier network not only as a major domestic market, but also as a strategic hub providing access to construction projects across multiple regions.

dmg events and Expotim Join Forces

BIG 5 Construct Türkiye will combine dmg events’ international exhibition expertise and the global reach of the BIG 5 brand with Expotim’s extensive knowledge and organisational experience in the Turkish market.

The exhibition is expected to provide international suppliers with opportunities to establish new business connections with local contractors, project developers, industry professionals and public-sector representatives. It is also intended to support Turkish companies in strengthening their international business networks.

Expotim stated that the partnership represents an important opportunity both to reinforce its position in the international exhibition industry and to bring the globally recognised BIG 5 brand to Türkiye.

When and Where Will BIG 5 Construct Türkiye 2027 Take Place?

BIG 5 Construct Türkiye will take place from 15 to 17 September 2027 at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM). The three-day exhibition, to be held under the supervision of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), will bring together local and international representatives of the construction and building industries in Istanbul.

By bringing BIG 5’s established global industry network to the Turkish market, the event aims to create a major meeting point for manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, developers and decision-makers seeking new commercial partnerships and business opportunities.
